Alex worked as an educator in early childhood and school settings. She worked in the outdoor recreation field in a variety of camps in North America and abroad. She loved working in community recreation for a variety of local municipalities. In her work with Non-Governmental organizations abroad, she met a child that changed her life and she returned to Canada to quit her job, return to school and become an occupational therapist. Now she devotes her time to working in school pediatrics and in a charity called Power for All where she takes children, youth, adults and seniors of diverse abilities in adaptive outdoor adventures as a medium for therapy. In her spare time, she trains individuals in a variety of settings and organizations to be inclusive in their work. She loves Zumba, traveling and any new adventures that may come her way!
